Candice Swanepoel: "I was so excited to see the world, I did not care what it cost me"
Candice Swanepoel was born on 20 October 1988 in the small town of Mooi River (South Africa). Here they grew up under modest circumstances on a cattle farm. She helped parents at calving (parturition in cattle) and just loved to be in the great outdoors and to play in the dirt once. But already as a young girl she knew she once wanted to do something special and did not want to, just like their parents, working as a farmer. Candice Swanepoel developed at an early age a passion for beauty and fashion, and loved to dress stylish.

In her youth and school, she had to survive difficult years. For because she was so tall and thin and was still growing, they seemed very inflexible and awkward. She was teased because of this at school and often felt like an outsider. But Candice Swanepoel knew she had a special body, because she looked numerous model shows on television, and all the women had such a character like her. She felt that she had the makings of a model, but how could a simple peasant girl, without any training and deposited by the international cities of the fashion world, ever make it to a top model?
Candice Swanepoel: "I often saw the fashion channels on the TV. I told my mother that the girls at school make fun of me, but that I look like the girls on TV "
At the age of 15 years Candice Swanepoel roamed a flea market in Durban (city in South Africa). At the same time there was a famous model scout who was immediately impressed by this young woman, when he saw her for the first time by chance. She had such a great charisma and appeal, as he had experienced it never before. He could not help, saying the girl spontaneously, if they did not want to act as a model. Candice Swanepoel could not believe it should be their dream of an international career as a model actually meet? Quick photos were sent by it to international modeling agencies, all of which were immediately impressed by the beautiful South African woman.
Candice Swanepoel had now come to a difficult decision, because for her modeling career, she had to leave their beloved homeland and travel to Europe. She knew she would probably only get one chance in life to be able to work as a model can. Candice Swanepoel chose a courageous decision. She gave her idyllic life on the farm and told her parents that she wanted to work as a model from now on. For them it was a huge step into an unknown future, because they had to give up already at a young age everything was located at her heart. And so flew Candice Swanepoel shortly thereafter for the first time to London (capital of England). They now had to learn a lot of things new, because until then they knew neither aircraft nor a subway.

The world of Candice Swanepoel should change drastically, can just as you would have never imagined. Within a year she was already booked by numerous agencies as a model and landed a lot of jobs. The first international model contracts of Dolce & Gabbana and Tommy Hilfiger increased rapidly its reputation and in 2005 she has already run on the "New York Fashion Week", which was one of the most important events for Models worldwide. The people were amazed by the incredible charisma of the young woman from South Africa, and the career of Candice Swanepoel began.
Candice Swanepoel was hired as an angel for the "Victoria`s Secret Fashion Show", one of the most popular underwear shows on American television. It thus rose to become one of the most popular and highest-paid models in the world, because only the real stars among the top models were allowed to work here. Candice Swanepoel has been mapped to many well-known fashion magazines and all international designers worldwide now they wanted to book.
Candice Swanepoel managed from a simple girl from the farm into an international top model. She met the courageous decision to leave her family and friends at a young age in order to realize her dream as a model can. Without any training on the catwalk they constantly evolved as a model on, she trained hard and so took advantage of their chance. But not only because of their appearance was like posted, but also by their ever-cheerful performances. Her childhood on the farm accompanied them to this day, because despite its incredible success it has remained down to earth and modest.
